I am thinking about buying and making the large rug but I need to know the estimated time it takes to complete it, if you could, please ?

        • IraRott says:

Hi Tonya, it depends on everyone’s skills to crochet and read patterns. The elephant rug takes approximately 2900 – 3200 yards of yarn but you need to hold 3 strands together, which makes it relatively fast to make. Wet blocking might take from 1 day to 1 week. Crochet level is intermediate with many step by step pictures and diagrams. You can find more information about required skills on our SITE.

Hi Teresa, if your gauge matches the pattern using 3 strands of yarn, then your rug will turn out approximately 62” (157.5 cm) across & 39” (99 cm) from the top of the head down.

i’m trying to buy several of these patterns and when i click on “add to cart” i get a pop-up that only lets me checkout one item at a time…how can i buy several items in one go thus saving shipping and handling?

    • IraRott says:

Hi Shiraz, we do not ship our patterns as they are electronic files. You will be able to download them instantly after your payment goes through. To buy a few patterns at a time, you need to close your shopping cart window and add next pattern. Then close it again if you wish to add more. Once you add all patterns you like, you will be able to go to checkout & save 20% if you buy 4 or more patterns together. Hope it helps.

Ira, good afternoon. I am doing the elephant pillow and have just finished the first ear. I have a question if I may. When the ears are sewn onto the head, do I also sew up the longer side of the ears or is it left sort of like an open pocket, as it will be doubled won’t it once folded over? Many thanks for your time. Love the pattern and my daughter, who is getting it for Christmas but doesn’t know it yet, will love it also, as she adores elephants! Regards Ruth

Hi! Loving this pattern, however when creating the head, it’s becoming very conical and doesn’t lie flat. What am I doing wrong?

    Thank you!

I just finished the Josefina rug, and was looking for the tutorial mentioned on page 27, for finishing the rug, but wasn’t able to find it.

I just love your patterns! Very well written and the pictures are very helpful. I have never seen a pattern so wonderful. I just finished Josefina & Jeffery Elephant Rug and it’s beautiful. I will be coming back for more patterns from you. Thank you.
