Josefina Doll and Jeffery the Elephant Pillow
I have always loved & adored dolls, especially handmade dolls. After many years of carrying an idea for designing my own doll, the time was finally right. Sweet as can be…please welcome my NEW Josefina doll with her Jeffery elephant pillow.

Josefina measures 9” (22.9 cm) in sitting position or 15” (38 cm) including legs. Jeffery is only 6” (15.2 cm) across; he is the smallest & the cutest elephant pillow I ever made. They both are made from DK weight yarn (3) using a 3.25 mm (D) crochet hook.

Amigurumi dolls are so much fun to make! There might be some tricky parts if you are not familiar with amigurumi style crochet, but not to worry, I included everything you need in the PATTERN…even my new unique method for making neck support using cotton swabs. You will need double-sided tipped swabs with firm (not wooden) base. Using this method it is very easy to expand the neck base widthwise & lengthwise if your doll turns out bigger or smaller.
Josefina’s dress is removable, so you can make a few of them in different colors for any occasion. You can even make her dress shorter or longer. The hair is done in 1 piece as a wig & sewn onto the head (row-by-row instructions are in the PATTERN).
Don’t forget about rosy cheeks…aw she is so darn sweet!
I hope you will enjoy this pattern as much as I enjoyed designing it for you. Please remember to share your finished Josefina & Jeffery on Instagram, Ravelry, & our Facebook Group. I can’t wait to see what you make.
