This rug is made from ONE strand of super bulky weight yarn (6) using a 9 mm (M/N) hook. Although, you can use THREE strands of medium weight yarn (4) or TWO strands of bulky weight yarn (5) instead. Check out this post on how to work with multiple strands of yarn at once. The pattern is suitable for Beginners. There are simple row-by-row instructions, crochet terms and abbreviations, step-by-step images, and even diagrams for reference. If you are learning to read crochet patterns, this project is a good start.

If the rug idea is not for you, use this pumpkin to decorate your dining table for fall or make smaller size placemats from a single strand of medium weight yarn (4), working with a 5.5 mm (I) hook.
